Welcome!
We train in the traditional Okinawan Shorin-Ryu style of karate. Our mission is to develop students to their maximum potential in body, mind and spirit. The essence of karate is on kata, not free-style sparring or competition. We bring adults, children and families together in a fun, rewarding activity that fosters personal growth and community spirit.
Schedule:
Monday: 6:45-8:00 pm – Longfellow School Gym (2nd and Orchard)
Wednesday: 6:45-8:00 pm – Longfellow School Gym (2nd and Orchard)
Saturday: 10:00-11:00 am – Carleton’s Cowling Gym Dance Studio (1st and Maple)
Four-month Fees:
$49 per individual; $79 per family
Registration:
Classes are open to everyone over the age of 8. Tuition allows you to attend unlimited classes. First class free! Register for classes through the Northfield Community Services Division. To propagate the art of Shorin-Ryu Karate USA, its kata and techniques, as handed down by our founder Grand Master Ansei Ueshiro.
To preserve and protect the history, traditions, methods and integrity of Shorin-Ryu Karate USA.
To develop students to their maximum potential in body, mind and spirit; through courtesy, propriety, self-discipline and the ecstasy of hard work fostered by our dojo – the sacred training halls – of Shorin-Ryu Karate USA.
